On June 15th, CUNA Mutual's CEO Bob Trunzo announced the need for dramatic expense reduction in order to "stay competitive." We don't know what changes management are going to make to reduce expenses so dramatically, but he specifically mentioned that "our greatest expense is ... our employees."

Eleven state labor unions filed petitions in Kanawha Circuit Court Monday challenging the state’s new “right-to-work” law as an illegal taking of union property and resources.
“First and foremost, it’s unconstitutional because it’s an illegal taking of property without due process,” said Josh Sword, secretary treasurer of the West Virginia AFL-CIO, one of the 11 plaintiffs.

MILWAUKEE (CN) — Wisconsin's currently suspended right-to-work law has another legal attack on its hands, this one in federal court.
Two local units of International Union of Operating Engineers, 139 and 420, filed suit Thursday against Attorney General Brad Schimel and Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission chairperson James R. Scott, claiming the law violates the National Labor Relations Act.
